The Prairie Lights Film Festival is a three day showcase of Nebraska cinema and Nebraska filmmakers held at the historic Grand Theatre in Grand Island, Nebraska.

The purpose of PLFF is to promote, grow, and showcase the wide variety of films made by Nebraskans and to encourage networking, vibrancy, and public support for an industry often overlooked in the state.

As part of this continued focus on local filmmaking, Prairie Lights has initiated a number of anthology projects, FLAT WATER TERRORS, NEBRASKA NOIR, and an upcoming SCIENCE FICTION and COMEDY series that are written and directed by Nebraskans which premiere each year at the festival.

In addition, Prairie Lights Productions has appeared as a production/distribution arm of the film festival.
