Asa Wells was born in 1840’s Wisconsin, fought in a horrible Civil War, traveled the world, and lost almost every member of his family. He amassed amazing wealth and responsibility, which he took to the Northeast Nebraska Logan Valley. He helped build a struggling community and gave of himself and his fortune. One last tragedy triggered his most magnificent gift of them all, Wells Park.

Asa Wells helped found the town of Oakland, Nebraska in the late 1800’s. Director Donald Dodge has lived in Nebraska nearly his entire life. A North Bend Native, he currently lives in Oakland and is a 14 year vet of the Omaha Fire Department. All but one of the voices used in production are Omaha Radio professionals.
