Prairie Lights is stoked to announce that Tom Schoening’s OUTLAW TRAIL: AN OLD WEST MUSIC VIDEO DOCUMENTARY will World Premiere at PLFF! Here’s a bit about the film:
This 6.5-minute music video features the original cowboy songs of local Nebraska singer-songwriter Teresa Kay Orr. The music is used to illustrate the true life story of the famous Nebraska outlaw D.C. “Doc” Middleton and his wife Rene. The video was produced by a group of local volunteer filmmakers, authentic cowboy reenactors and stunt riders, with scenes shot in the Sioux City area and a western Iowa “frontier village” shooting range.
Outlaw Trail, a music video documentary, presents highlights of the life of famous Nebraska outlaw D.C.”Doc Middleton” and his wife René back during the Nebraska Territory days. The words and music for the songs were written by Nebraska native and singer/songwriter Teresa Kay Orr. Her sister, Marci Broyhill of Dakota City, Nebraska, is the lead actress in the video. Members of the Nebraska Territorial Rangers old west shooting club are featured prominently in the video, which was shot in the three state area around Sioux City. The director is the former resident of Columbus, Nebraska. Tom Schoening is a former resident of Columbus, Nebraska, and formerly served as the writer/photographer in the Corporate Communications Department at Nebraska Public Power District.
