We’re stoked to announce the World Premiere of MOWER BOY, the directorial debut of Mark Popejoy! Here’s a bit about the film:

We won’t take any mow!! A Nebraska family’s quiet camping retreat is terrorized by an overzealous groundskeeper who doesn’t know when to quit. When he returns that night armed with a weed-whacker, Mom must save her family in a harrowing encounter with the deranged “Mower Boy”!

MOWER BOY is part of the Prairie Lights Anthology Project which pairs area writers and directors together to help cultivate the Nebraska film scene. Mark Popejoy, a longtime member of the Nebraska film scene, teamed up with award winning local writer Chuck Mittan and cinematographer Mark Thimijan to create his directorial debut, which was filmed near Grand Island, Nebraska with a cast of local actors.
