We’re stoked to announce that Jason Levering and David Weiss’s action thriller BLACK LUCK will screen at this year’s PLFF! Check out the following synopsis:

A legendary killer for the mob disappears, leaving behind his violent past to try and carve out a peaceful future for himself. But when his former boss sends a series of goons after him to settle some unfinished business, he finds out that you can’t keep your monsters at bay forever. Withthe mob closing in and new enemies at every turn, he has to try and stay a step ahead in order to survive. Sometimes your luck just goes black.

  1. Just an FYI- While Jason did direct and assist with the screenwriting, and David did a fabulous job on filming, Garret Sheeks is the film’s originator. Garrett wrote the story and is also Hagen, the main character. Garret grew up in Grand Island, attending Seedling Mile, Gates and Barr, before moving up to the farm and graduating from Arcadia High School. Garrett is a true local and Black Luck is Garrett’s original story.
