We’re stoked to announce yet another great guest for Prairie Lights! Kevin McMahon, the director of CLASSIFIED, which is having a Sneak Peak Premiere on Friday, October 7th, will be in attendance and will be participating in the Q&A later that night! Here’s a little about Kevin:
Kevin McMahon knew at the age of four, after having seen Star Wars in the theater, that he would be making movies. Originally from Fremont, Kevin attended UNL on an athletic scholarship where he studied Broadcast Journalism, Television Production and Film Studies. After retiring from a long career in diving Kevin went to work in Hollywood and quickly moved up the ranks to become a Director of Photography and member of the International Cinematographer’s Guild. Kevin worked on over 250 television series and dozens of feature films as a D.P. and broke new ground in 2009 by creating a method and work flow for tapeless production that was approved by Viacom and allowed Kevin to become the first D.P. to film a tapeless television series. The method is the current standard in all production today and landed Kevin the 2009 August cover of Videography Magazine. As a director Kevin has filmed several segments for network television and music videos for Grammy winning artists and his first feature film, “Military Husband,” is nearing completion. His video for Warner Bros. artist Beto Cuevas featuring rapper Flo Rida was the #1 video in Mexico and Latin America for 10 straight weeks and his screenplay for the Military Action Horror, “Classified,” is set to go into production late in 2016. Kevin is the founder of the Nebraska based production company Pathfinder Motion Picture Company, LLC and is gearing up to produce three feature films in Nebraska starting in 2017.
